Round 2 of the 1/10 EP Turkish Nationals was held at the Izmir EFMOD asphalt track. There were 31 drivers who all had a fantastic weekend at Izmir. The race was hosted by Aytemiz Hobi in 1/10th scale EP Touring Car with only Modified Section.
With 31 racers drivers at the event, this was record attendance at a Turkish 1/10 EP TC Races for the last 5 years. The race also hosted North Turkish Cypriot racers.
The championship will have four races and the three best points will determine the Turkish Champion. The first race was held at Team NCRC Arena in North Cyprus.
Before the race, all top-rated racers announced their attendance. Past champions and top-rated A-main drivers were all there: Mustafa Alp, Erol Ucar, Niyazi Deniz, Ferhat Caglıoglu, Kagan Aydın, Baris Turkay, Ates Billur, Serdar Aytemiz, and others. Most of the drivers choose XRAY cars to showcase their performance, and 18 drivers enjoyed full spare part support by Team NCRC. Seven XRAY drivers got into the A-main.
Practice Heats (Saturday)
The race weekend started with practice heats for establishing qualification groups with three groups. Practice session had 6 heats and the three best consecutive laps were chosen for performance qualification.

Qualification Heats
Each group ran five rounds of qualification heats separated into 2 days; 3 heats were run the first day when traction was high, and the remaining 2 heats were done early Sunday morning when traction was medium.

Finals
Three main heats was completed and the best 2-point sum decided the dayâ™s performance. It was perfect competition among drivers which concluded with different heat results.

Half of the season has been completed and next races will be performed on August 11-12, 2012 at the Bursa Bumod track (asphalt) and the Final Race will be held on October 13-14, at TEAM NCRC Arena, North Cyprus.
